THE BRIEF
A desert house that holds shade, silence and long views.
The plan is organised as a sequence of solid volumes and open courts. Deep thresholds mediate between the interior and the severe beauty of the landscape.
Light is treated as a material.
Openings are positioned to frame the changing desert rather than simply expose it. Morning light washes the pale plaster; by evening, the house becomes a darker silhouette against the horizon.
